During May Half Term of 2014, young people from the Progress Project’s Development Forum worked with Green Shoes Arts to create a film for their latest campaign called No Spitting. The Progress Project’s Development Forum enables disabled young people to explore express themselves on a range of topical issues. The group undertook lots of research, and developed the script for the film. They worked hard to create a really professional outcome, which has received significant support.

“The work that is being put into this campaign by The Barking and Dagenham Progress Project and and all of the groups involved is inspiring. Spitting is a very real issue that is often overlooked. There are some major health concerns involved and I think that the people at Green Shoes Arts have done a fantastic job at highlighting the issue in the video.” – Jon Cruddas MP

We know that being involved with the arts as a participant or as a viewer can have a profound effect on people's lives; whether it is running a film project for young people at risk of exclusion or giving adults with learning difficulties the chance to create stories and perform in front of an audience, we know that life is made more enjoyable and rewarding when we spend time doing something creative with a group of friends, old and new.If you believe the arts are as important as we do, please consider making a small donation. We appreciate your continued support!
