Dance Leaders (2015 Schedule)
Mondays (during term time 4pm-6pm)
Ages 11+

Contemporary dance company Eclipse Youth Dance is working with young, local, talented dancers who want to develop their choreographic and technicaldance training further. Working towards live performances twice a year to showcase their work, the young dancers also work towards Arts Awards Qualifications. This group is not just for experienced dancers, but for those who have a keen interest in dance, or who might want to try out a new skill and develop their training over time.

Throughout the year with support from Robert Clack High School we deliver weekly dance classes to young people who want to develop their technical dance and choreographic skills, alongside being given the chance to perform and showcase their work to live and online audiences. The young people engage in leadership skills, delivering their own dance sessions to younger people in the community. This year we are working on developing technical dance skills with a focus on contemporary dance, performance and choreography.

We also take referrals from local services such as social services to our group for young people who would benefit from being in regular structured creative activity. For referrals or to join Eclipse Youth Dance contact Nikki Watson on

We know that being involved with the arts as a participant or as a viewer can have a profound effect on people's lives; whether it is running a film project for young people at risk of exclusion or giving adults with learning difficulties the chance to create stories and perform in front of an audience, we know that life is made more enjoyable and rewarding when we spend time doing something creative with a group of friends, old and new.If you believe the arts are as important as we do, please consider making a small donation. We appreciate your continued support!
